Veg Club Returns Feb. 6: Get Ready for a New Year of Fresh Food

The popular Veg Club returns for its 2024 season on February 6 with a class on achieving the best start for your garden. Learn how to choose the best site and bed type, where to get local amendments, and all about local community gardens so you can have a garden even if you have no space. You’ll also get Northwest-adapted seed sources and precise, region-specific planting calendars.

The year-long Veg Club series covers everything from beginning to basic gardening as well as specialized local resources and techniques for experienced growers.

In our March 5th session, learn how to get weeks more food from your garden with three succession-planting strategies as well as tips on how to grow earlier, better, and longer with easy-to-make, easy-to-move enclosures that protect early season plants, make heat lovers more productive, and extend your harvest season.

Veg Club, a joint venture of Bainbridge Prepares and the Bainbridge Island Public Library, welcomes beginners, experienced gardeners, and people new to the Northwest. It’s always free.

Join us via Zoom on Tuesday, February 6, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and on the first Tuesday of every month unless otherwise noted.
