Talking About Winter Gardening in July

It’s not too big of a stretch to think about winter in Juneuary, but in July . . . ? But now is exactly the right time to start thinking about your fall and winter crops.

A bursting winter garden starts with simple seeding in July. Even if your plot is already full, you can fit in fall and winter crops. Is your summer garden less robust than you hoped? Give it a second life in the cool season. We’ll tell you exactly what, when, and how to plant for a winter full of food.

Veg Club, a joint venture of Bainbridge Prepares and the Bainbridge Island Public Library, welcomes beginners, experienced gardeners, and people new to the Northwest. It’s always free.

This next Veg Club is July 2, at 6:30 p.m., via zoom. To sign up to attend and get the address, click here.
