Get 3 Weeks Ready
You can prepare your household for emergencies in one year by taking a few small steps each month.
Join the Prepare in a Year 24 movement to get ready AND enter monthly drawings to win prizes.
In the event of a large-scale emergency, Bainbridge Islanders are likely to be isolated for at least three weeks. The bridge might be down and the ferry might be out of service. In an earthquake that affects the entire region, there won't be a lot of resources available to us anyway, except for what we can provide locally. What this means is that each household needs to be somewhat self-sufficient.
Put together a minimum of 21 days’ (28 is even better) worth of emergency supplies, including food and water for the members of your household, including pets and domestic animals. Read more here. You can also use our emergency checklists to help you get ready.
That’s it! When you’re done, complete the submission form.
Your submission will be entered in a drawing to win the June prize: A 72-hour survival food pack.
