New Library Series on Emergency Prep: Next Up, Wildfire

People watching an advancing wildfire

Instead of filing your taxes at the last minute this year, why not attend the second session of the new Emergency Preparedness series at the library on April 15? The session will focus on Wildfire Prep and Mitigation. The presenter is Bainbridge Island Fire Department Chief Jared Moravec.

Wildfire mitigation involves taking proactive measures to reduce the risk and impact of wildfires. We’ll cover strategies to protect your home and property, creating evacuation plans, and working as a community to reduce risk.

The Wildfire session happens April 15, from 6 to 7 p.m., at the Bainbridge island Public Library. Tickets are free. Register here.

The series is hosted by the library in conjunction with the Bainbridge Prepares partnership among the City, The Fire Department, and yours truly, BP.
