Tour Bainbridge Farms with the Farmers Who Know Them Best

Come learn their history, how they grow, and why they’re so important to our community today. Each farm is unique, and many will offer u-pick or produce sales on the day of our visit. Spend a lovely morning connecting to your farmers, your food, and your community… and it’s free!Second and fourth Sundays (unless otherwise noted) in July, August, and September, 2022, from 10 am to noon.  All locations are on Bainbridge Island. Summer & Fall Bring Bumper Crops of Fruit and Veg. Learn to preserve them at our Veg Club Session at B.A.R.N. 

Join us at the amazing campus of our community partner, BARN  (Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network). Instructors will show you successful, safe practices for easy water-bath canning as they make dill pickles and strawberry jam. These skills transfer to other jams, pickles, chutneys, and preserves. Free class. Grow tree fruit in your yard, large or small

Learn how to grow and maintain fruit trees in our Veg Club session in Darren Murphy’s incredible fruit garden. The head of Bainbridge Island Fruit Club, Darren grows dozens of fruits, including berries, grapes and multi-grafted tree-fruits in his small suburban garden. He’ll show you how you can do it, too, whether you have a postage stamp plot or a large expanse.
