Shelter Fundamentals Class
Shelter Fundamentals is a basic level course that introduces the guidelines and procedures for setting up, running and closing a shelter during a disaster. Referencing shelter checklists, participants will work on a case study that takes them through four of the six phases of the Sheltering Cycle: Opening, Organizing, Operating and Closing.The class is slated to be held on 4/14 from 10-4 at City Hall, and is designed for HUB leaders or other individuals that will have to tend to a large number of residents (nursing homes, etc.) in the event of a disaster.
