November: Shelter in Place
Sheltering in place is not something we have much reason to do in western Washington. But when we do, it is of utmost importance to do it right. Almost always, the occasion will be a chemical, biological, or radiological event.
Activity
Select a room in your home for your safety room. Choose one with access to a bathroom and few windows, if possible.
Create a shelter-in-place kit to store in the safe room. Read more here.
Documentation
Answer the question on the submission form and submit the required photo.
Prize
Your submission will be entered in a drawing to win the February prize: Emergency bucket toilet.
You may submit your documentation at any time up until the end of the first Friday of the following month. You may submit early for ensuing months. Remember to stamp your passport for each completed month.
