You Are the Sunshine of Our Lives—Come to Our Party!
You are the reason we do what we do. You are the reason our more than 750 volunteers pack their gear bags and stand in the sun or the rain for hours to provide first aid, direct traffic, teach people how to use a fire extinguisher, or administer vaccines. You are why we give talks at the library, inventory emergency supplies, train, practice radio skills, worry about how to reunite your family when disaster strikes, and set up communication networks.
You’re also the reason we can do what we do. Your support is essential to our ongoing operations. Although we partner with the City and the fire department, we do not get money from them other than occasional small grants.
