Make a Resolution to Stop the Bleed in 2024
One of the very best things you can do in 2024 to prepare for emergencies is to take a Stop the Bleed (STB) class. In this class you’ll learn exactly what to do in a crisis when someone is bleeding heavily and will die without intervention.
The Bainbridge Prepares partnership is offering STB classes all year long. You’ll learn three quick techniques to help save a life:
Use your hands to apply pressure to a wound.
Pack a wound to control bleeding.
Correctly apply a tourniquet.
STB was launched in the United States in October 2015 by the White House as a national awareness campaign and a call to action. The campaign is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage people to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
