Did You Get a COVID Test Kit at DOP?
At yesterday’s Day of Preparedness, Bainbridge Prepares and its partners—the City of Bainbridge Island and the Bainbridge Island Fire Department—handed out free iHealth COVID-19 rapid test kits. Some attendees wanted to know more about when the kits expire, so here's the skinny from the Kitsap Public Health District.
The test is still good to use
if the use-by date on the box is no more than 15 months prior to your use (you can find the date on the back of the box to the right of the QR code) OR
the C (control) line appears when you use the test.
NOTE: Even if your use precedes the use-by date, if the C (control line) does NOT appear, the test is not valid.
