Bainbridge Prepares Among Recipients of BCF's Record Setting 2022 Community Grants Cycle

Bainbridge Prepares was among the many local nonprofits to receive grant funding from the Bainbridge Community Foundation (BCF) in a record-setting year of donations from the organization. We are extremely grateful for the support BCF has not only given to Bainbridge Prepares, but to the community at large for more than two decades.Yesterday, Steven Powell detailed the BCF's historic year of giving in an article for the Bainbridge Island Review here.BCF's 2022 Community Grants Cycle awarded a record $558,442 to local nonprofits, surpassing 2020's previous high of $507,313. Bainbridge Prepares was given the Klasky (Trustees) Award and $10,000 to support our 13 Disaster Hubs spread across the island. The Klasky Award is presented to nonprofits promoting collaboration between organizations or creating innovative programs, and is funded by donations from board, staff, and Community Grants Cycle team members. The annual Community Grants Cycle is the heart of the BCF grants program. Each year since this program's beginning in 2005, BCF staff and dozens of well-trained community volunteers have spent hundreds of hours reviewing applications, conducting site visits, and setting priorities. Please join us in recognizing the incredible work of the Bainbridge Community Foundation. Once again, thank you BCF!For more information on the Bainbridge Community Foundation and their work in the community, go to https://bainbridgecf.org/.
