Residential Water Wells: Survive and Prepare for Emergency Use

  • Bainbridge Island Museum of Art 550 Winslow Way East Bainbridge Island, WA, 98110 United States (map)

Bainbridge Prepares’ Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Team will conduct a briefing for Islanders who own and operate fresh water wells for residential purposes. The goal is to increase islanders’ water readiness by providing them with practical information on

  • the maintenance of residential water wells.

  • improving the well’s ability to survive a major earthquake.

  • considerations for and equipment necessary to safely reactivate a well after a substantial earthquake.

You should attend if you use any form of a residential water well and/or if someone else maintains it for you. After an earthquake, you will be on your own in terms of acquiring potable water and assessing and reactivating your well.

Please RSVP here.
