BIGWEELS = Bainbridge Islanders Getting Workers Everywhere in Emergencies and Lots of Snow!
The BIGWEELS team was created to serve the community during times of inclement weather and rough road conditions. Individuals needing a ride to the doctor, the ferry, or assistance towing their car out of a ditch or snow bank, can request the assistance of this team.
When activated a notice will be posted on the City website and on City social media pages. Requests can them be submitted via this Google Form.
Volunteers with AWD vehicles, who are comfortable driving in the snow and ice, can sign up by completing an emergency management volunteer application. Team leads, Michael Ditmore and Rafael Escandon, can be reached at BIGWEELS-leads@bainbridgeprepares.org.
