Applying to Bainbridge Island MRC

 

STEP 1: Register on WAServ

WAServ is the Washington State Emergency Registry of Volunteers and it is a registry for citizens who are willing and able to help during disasters and significant events.

Please go to WAServ and click on “Register for WASERV” then “+add organizations” and type “Kitsap” in the search box.  Choose BI MRC and fill in your contact information (including mobile number) and your healthcare license details (if applicable).

Please do not forget to submit requested information about your medical license (if you are a healthcare provider). We need this information so that the state can verify that your license is active.

 

STEP 2: Submit your information for a City of Bainbridge Island (COBI) background check

STEP 3: Complete a Volunteer Application for the City of Bainbridge Island (COBI)

In order to get your official MRC volunteer badge you need to complete your COBI volunteer form. Please download the COBI Volunteer Application here and print it out:

 

Please fill out the whole application (except you can discard p. 7 because it’s taken care of in Step 2 above). Once you have completed the application please scan or photograph it and email it to Anne LeSage (COBI Emergency Management Coordinator) at alesage@bainbridgewa.gov, or mail the application to:

Within a week of registering with WAServ and sending in your COBI volunteer application you should receive an email from BIMRC. If you do not please contact us at: mrc-leads@bainbridgeprepares.org.
