PLEASE NOTE: We are receiving a lot of interest from new applicants interested in volunteering at the Bainbridge vaccination site. If you would like to become a medical reserve corps volunteer please complete Steps 1, 2, and 3 (see below) at the same time. It may take up to 2 weeks to process your application.
STEP 1: Register on WAServ
WAServ is the Washington State Emergency Registry of Volunteers and it is a registry for citizens who are willing and able to help during disasters and significant events. Here’s the quick 1-2-3 for registering:
- Go to WAServ and click on “Register for WASERV”
- Click on “+add organizations” and type “Kitsap” in the search box
- Choose BI MRC to fill in your contact information (including mobile number) and your healthcare license details (if required)
If you are a healthcare provider, please submit your medical license information on WAServ so that the state can verify your license is active. If you skip this step you will not be able to help vaccinate.
STEP 2: Complete a COBI background check
All volunteers for the City of Bainbridge (COBI) are required to pass a background check. Please complete the COBI background check here.
STEP 3: Complete a COBI Volunteer Application
Please download and complete the COBI Volunteer Application, then print and email a scan or photograph of the completed form to Anne LeSage (COBI Emergency Management Coordinator) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please also email to Anne a “head shot” photo of yourself to use on your COBI volunteer I.D. badge.
