Currents Magazine, the Arts and Humanities Bainbridge monthly culture publication, recently interviewed Bainbridge Prepares founder Scott James about emergency prep and our upcoming Virtual Day of Preparedness on September 26, from 10 am to 2 pm via Zoom. James told AHB staff that the biggest threat to our community is “Complacency, whether it relates to mask usage for pandemic or creating a family reunification plan for earthquake.”
You can address some of your own potential complacency right away by registering for the Virtual Day of Preparedness, which will feature keynotes on the history of earthquakes (Dr. Stephen Angster and Dr. Jessie Pearl) and on emotional resilience (Dr. Avanti Bergquist).
In the Currents interview, Scott also talked about “Having a solid team with deep, trusting relationships. We know we can rely on each other.” At the Virtual Day of Preparedness, you will also be able to meet some of the members of the BP family, specifically the heads of BP teams, and ask them questions.
